Zach is still going strong. He is learning a lot about the cultural differences that Armenia has. He described that holidays don’t just last a day, like they do in America, they last a month. This month (spanning from March 8th to April 7th) is women’s month. So, it is similar to mother’s day, but they celebrate all woman. He said that people are all over the streets passing out flowers to woman. He took Abraham (one of his prime investigators he is working with) to a branch activity that was centered around woman and they spoke kindly about mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, and wives (Zach left that out in his email, but I think that is because his focus isn’t on that at the moment). And to top the activity off, all the men prepared the food. The best part about this activity was that Zach said he danced. He said after dinner they played some traditional Armenian music and everyone danced. It would have been great to see Zach busting a move in a traditional Armenian dance.
He also talked about Abraham receiving a great blessing. Zach has been praying hard for things to turn around for Abraham. And all the prayer is paying off. Abraham is now back in the place he used to live and had enough money to pay some bills that he had been worried about. The power of the spirit is really growing in Abraham because of these blessings.
One other thing that happened to Zach is that he got to meet a girl that is on the lds.org video for the dedication of the Ukraine Temple.
The language is coming for Zach, he says it is a slow process but he is growing. And he got his new badge that says Elder Zachary, instead of Rackham (because Rackham is a bad saying in Russian so he had to change it).
