New Testament

Dear Family

As of last Thursday I am back in Vanadzor serving with Elder VanBlankenstein he is from Alaska. It really has been a great blessing to come back and see the change in the members. And there is a new church. Right now we are working with Armine. She has a lot of contacts for us.

For my studies these last few weeks I want to master the New Testament as much as I can. So lately I have slowly been studying in Matthew and I am picking up on some things that I haven't in the past. One of the things that I have learned is that Matthew writes the most prophesies about Christ than any other apostle and that helps connect the Old testament with the New. And it also shows that Matthew was writing to a Jewish audience. And knowing that testament means covenant. And we also see the pattern of humankind. They start to reject the prophets and those covenants. And I feel that when they started using the New  Testament people were saying we already have the Old Testament we don't need the New testament. They were probably just like the people today when we try to introduce the Book of Mormon to them. There are people that try to hold to their old traditions, but this church is a living church, God speaks with us by revelation. And am glad to have that knowledge.
I hope you have a great week, and the rest of the month.

Love Elder Rackham
